Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-23 · Version v1.0.0

EverCFO is operated by Celeste Business Advisors LLP (“EverCFO”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for EverCFO subscriptions. It mirrors the refund language in our Terms of Service section 3 (Subscription and billing). Where the two documents describe the same right or obligation, the Terms of Service is the controlling contract.

1. Trial cancellations

If a paid plan begins with a free trial, you may cancel the trial at any time during the trial period from your billing dashboard. If you cancel before the trial-to-paid conversion date shown at checkout, you will not be charged. Trial length and the conversion price are shown at checkout per Terms of Service section 3.

2. Subscription fees are non-refundable

Fees for paid subscription terms are non-refundable except where required by law. This includes the current paid term after a trial converts and any subsequent renewal term. You may cancel at any time from your billing dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current paid term, and you retain access through that date. We do not pro-rate cancellations of paid subscription terms unless required by law.

3. Statutory rights preserved

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer protection right you have under applicable law. In particular:

  • European Union / European Economic Area. Consumers may have statutory withdrawal or refund rights for distance contracts — including digital services or the first payment under a subscription — where applicable law provides those rights. EverCFO honors any non-waivable right that applies to your purchase. Digital-content or service exceptions may apply only where the statutory conditions are satisfied, including any required express consent and acknowledgment. If you are an EU/EEA consumer and believe a withdrawal right applies to your purchase, contact us at the address in section 5 within the applicable window.
  • Quebec. Quebec consumer-protection rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CQLR c P-40.1) and the jurisdiction language in Terms of Service section 13 apply where relevant; this Refund Policy does not limit those rights.
  • Other jurisdictions. Where local consumer-protection law grants a non-waivable refund or cooling-off right that applies to your purchase, that right prevails over the non-refundable default above.

4. Discretionary credits

We may grant pro-rated credits at our discretion in exceptional cases. This is a discretionary practice, not a contractual commitment; granting a credit in one situation does not create an obligation to grant one in another. Examples of situations we may consider (illustrative only):

  • Extended platform outages that materially prevented use of EverCFO for multiple business days within a single billing cycle.
  • Duplicate charges or billing-system errors traceable to our side.

Credits, when granted, are applied to the affected subscription term and reduce the amount owed at the next renewal; they are not paid out as cash refunds unless the underlying charge itself was made in error.

5. How to request consideration

To request consideration for a discretionary credit, or to raise any other billing question, email billing@evercfo.ai from the address associated with your EverCFO account. Please include your subscription identifier (visible in the billing dashboard) and a brief description of the situation. We will respond without undue delay.

6. Refunds are processed via Paddle

Paddle is our payment processor and merchant of record (see /subprocessors). When a refund or credit is approved, Paddle issues it to the original payment method per Paddle’s refund process described at paddle.com/help/manage/your-customers/buyers-refunds. Refund availability is subject to Paddle’s policies and payment-method limitations (some payment methods may not support refunds beyond a certain window).

7. Chargebacks

Disputing a charge with your bank or card network as a chargeback, rather than contacting us first at the address in section 5, may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated, per Terms of Service section 12 (Termination). We will lift the suspension if the chargeback is withdrawn or resolved in our favor and you remain in good standing on the underlying subscription. We encourage you to email billing@evercfo.ai first — most billing concerns can be resolved without a chargeback.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to the account owner and reflected in the “Last updated” date and version pin at the top of this page. Continued use of EverCFO after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. Where a change would reduce a right you already hold, it will only apply to subscription terms that begin after the change takes effect.
